– Played at the University of Evansville in the late 1940’s

– Was a men’s basketball player for the Purple Aces

– His position on the field was tackle

– Attended high school at Reitz where he was won the state championship as a runner in the 1-mile event

– Went on to work for the EVSC where he was basketball coach at Bosse
