– Part of the 1964 and 1965 National Championship Teams

– Led UE with 14.6 rebounds per game in the undefeated 1964-65 season

– 1965 Chuck Taylor Converse 1st Team All-America (All Divisions); Sporting News 2nd Team

– Named to six College Division All-America Teams between 1963 and 1965

– Member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

– Coached the Chicago Bulls from 1979-82 before assuming the same position with the Utah Jazz from 1988 until 2011

– Ranks third in the NBA in all-time coaching victories with 1,221

– Played for the Bulls following his collegiate career and became the first player in franchise history to have his jersey retired (#4)

– His 1,307 points at UE ranks 21st overall while his tally of 1,053 rebounds is second in program history

– One of only six players at UE to have his jersey retired
