– Played both football and baseball at Evansville

– Played professional baseball in the Milwaukee Braves and Oakland A’s organizations

– Was a fullback for the Aces in the late 1940’s and won the Refrigerator Bowl

– Coached and taught at Bosse High School before becoming the Athletic Director
