Men's Soccer

Just Jensen was part of the University of Evansville’s first class of All-America soccer players, in 1982 along with teammate John Nunes. Both were second team All-Americans as chosen by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Jensen is the only player in UE history chosen for the NSCAA All-Region team four consecutive years, from 1979 through 1982. He was a member of the Under-18 National Team pool in his native Denmark, and was the Aces’ Most Valuable Player in 1980. Jensen helped lead the 1982 Aces to their first NCAA Tournament appearance and a 15-3-4 record. He ranks 15th on UE’s all-time scoring list with 19 goals and 20 assists for 58 points. Jensen and his wife of 25 years, Inge-Lise, reside in Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska, located above the Arctic Circle on Alaska’s North Slope. For the past 17 years, Just has taught all subjects to junior high school-aged Inupiaq Eskimo students. He has also been a teacher and youth coach in the Aleutian Islands, and served four years as a mentor for new teachers in the Arctic.
