John MacCauley III

Inducted 2014

Baseball

A 4-year starting pitcher for the baseball team, John MacCauley Jr. pitched for UE from 1989 through 1992 where he recorded 33 wins, a total that is third on the all-time Aces list.  His top efforts came in 1991 where he was named an ABCA All-American and was named the MCC Player of the Year.  The 1991 season also saw him win 13 games, second-most for a UE player in a single season.  MacCauley was drafted by the Chicago White Sox following his junior campaign, but elected to return to school for his senior year where he was drafted by the Oakland Athletics and spent two years in their organization.  MacCauley was joined by his father, John Sr., in the induction class of 2013.
