Hall of Fame

– Member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame, was inducted in 1979

– Became an assistant football coach at the University of Evansville in 1947, held that position until 1954

– Following his time as an assistant, he was named the head coach, serving in that capacity from 1954 until 1965

– Went back to being an assistant for the Purple Aces from 1965 through 1971

– Named the Indiana Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 1965
