– Earned two All-American awards as a swimmer for the Purple Aces

– Finished 6th in the 100 Butterfly in 1964

– Took 5th in the 400 Medley Relay in 1965

– Has continued his support of UE athletics over 50 years following his graduation, has worked on the scorers table at Aces basketball games for several years
