– Member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame, was inducted in 1992

– Graduated from UE in 1959, was on the President’s Round Table and Dean’s List

– Started for the football team for three seasons, was team captain in senior campaign

– Named an All-Indiana Collegiate Conference tackle in 1958

– Coached at Boonville HS for 12 seasons, going 72-50
